Alright, let’s talk about this Halo Infinite armor stuff. You know, all them helmets and shoulder thingies and whatnot. My grandkids, they love this game, always yappin’ about it. So, I figured, why not try and figure it out myself? Can’t be harder than milkin’ a cow, right?
First off, seems like there’s a whole heap of stuff you can stick on your guy. Helmets, yeah, got that. Then there’s, uh, attachments for the helmets, like little doodads and such. Chest gear, that’s like a vest, I guess. Shoulder pads, big and clunky, makes you look tough. Gloves, wrist gear, knee pads… Heck, they even got somethin’ called “hip utility.” Don’t ask me what that is, sounds fancy though. Oh, and you can change the visor color too, make it all purdy.
Now, from what I hear, some of this armor stuff is real hard to get. Like, super rare. They talk about this “Mark V Zeta” thing, sounds like the holy grail of helmets. Then there’s this “Granular” thing you can buy… if you got the cash, I reckon. Seems like some of the twitchy drop stuff is rare too, whatever that means. Kids these days and their computer words.
They also got these “coatings,” which is like, paint jobs, I think. There’s this dark metallic one, the “HCS launch coating,” that everybody wants. Sounds like it was from some special thingy before the game even came out. Then there’s the “watchdog” coating, you get that for bein’ a big shot in some other Halo game, level 152 or somethin’. Kids were yellin’ about level this and level that. Too much for this old brain of mine to handle.
- Helmets: Lots of different kinds, some real fancy.
- Attachments: Little things you stick on your helmet.
- Chest Gear: Like a vest, keeps you safe, I guess.
- Shoulder Pads: Make you look big and strong.
- Gloves and Wrist Gear: For your hands, duh.
- Knee Pads: Protect your knees, smart thinking.
- Hip Utility: Still don’t know what this is.
- Visor Color: Make it pretty.
- Coatings: Like paint for your armor.
So, then there’s this question, what’s the rarest armor combo? Like, what if you mix and match all the rarest stuff? I heard them talking about combining things from different “cores”. Sounds complicated. But I guess that’s how you make your guy look real special, real unique. Like, nobody else got the same look as you.
They got all these categories for the armor, see? And different ways to get ’em. Some you just get by playin’, I think. Some you gotta buy, which ain’t right if you ask me. Always tryna get more money outta ya. And then there are these “armor kits.” Heard you gotta be careful with them, though. Not sure why, maybe they cost a lot or somethin’. Gotta ask the grandkids about that.
And wouldn’t you know it, they even got people sellin’ this armor stuff on eBay. eBay! I used to sell quilts on there, now they got video game armor. Goes to show ya, the world’s a changin’ place. They got all sorts of sets and pieces on there, seems like you can find just about anything if you got the money.
And just when you thought it was all settled, folks are getting riled up about the in-game store again. Seems like they keep changing things, adding new stuff, taking away old stuff. Keeps the kids busy, I guess, but it’s enough to make my head spin. All this just for some fancy armor in a video game. But hey, if it makes ’em happy, who am I to judge?
Anyway, that’s the gist of it, as far as I can tell. Lots of different armor pieces, some easy to get, some not so much. You can mix and match, make your guy look however you want. Just gotta figure out how to get all the good stuff, which sounds like a whole lot of work to me. I’ll stick to milkin’ cows, thank you very much.
