Well, let me tell ya somethin’ about this here “ai somnium files 3,” or whatever they call it. I ain’t no spring chicken, ya know? I seen a lotta things, and played a lotta games… well, watched my grandkids play ’em mostly. They’re always shoutin’ about somethin’ called “playstation” and “nintendo.” Sounds like a bunch of hogwash to me, but them youngsters seem to like it.
So, this “ai somnium” thingy… it’s a game, I reckon. Somethin’ about mysteries and killers . Like them old detective shows, ya know? The ones where the fella with the fancy hat always figures out who did it. Except this one’s got all this… what’s the word… techy stuff. Like computers and robots and minds and such.
My grandkids were yappin’ about some “konami code”. Said it changed somethin’ in the game. Made a bad guy look like some kinda… soda pop man? Pepsi-somethin’? I dunno, sounded plumb crazy to me. But they were laughin’, so I guess it was funny.
- They told me there’s more than one of these games. Said this “3” means it’s the third one. Apparently, there was a first one and then somethin’ called “nirvana initiative.” Said it’s all one big story, full of twists and turns. Like a country road, I guess. Always windin’ and goin’ every which way.
- And get this, they said if you wanna know the whole story, you gotta see all the endings. Endings? How many endings can a story have? Seems like a lot of work to me. Back in my day, a story had one ending, and that was that. But I guess that is how these new-fangled games work. You gotta do this and that to see the “real” ending.
- They also mentioned somethin’ about “save slots.” Said you only need one, and you can go back and replay any part you want. Sounds handy, I suppose. If you mess somethin’ up, you can just go back and fix it. Wish life was like that, eh?
This here game, it’s got these trials, like in a courtroom. People arguing and pointin’ fingers. Reminds me of the time old man Johnson got caught stealin’ chickens. He swore up and down he didn’t do it, but everybody knew he did. These game trials though, seems a bit more… dramatic. And they have these big revelations, whatever that means. Probably just means they finally figure out who the bad guy is.
And get this, there’s these killers, right? One of ‘em is two fellas, workin’ together. One does the killin’, the other takes the eyes. Eyes! Can ya believe it? Creepy stuff, I tell ya. Then there’s another killer, just one fella this time. He’s older now, been at it for a while, I guess. Like a bad weed, just keeps comin’ back.
The story in this game, they said it jumps around. Goes from the past to the present, back and forth. Confusin’ if ya ask me. But my grandkids, they seem to keep up with it just fine. They’re always talkin’ about “spoilers” too. Said I can’t know too much, or it’ll ruin the surprise. Like when you know what you’re gettin’ for Christmas. Takes all the fun out of it.
So, is this “ai somnium files 3” any good? I dunno. Like I said, I ain’t played it myself. But them youngsters seem to like it. They’re always talkin’ about it, and they seem pretty excited when they’re playin’. So I guess it must be pretty good. Or maybe they’re just easily entertained. Kids these days, huh?
Anyways, that’s all I know about this here “ai somnium files 3.” If you wanna know more, you’ll have to ask one of them young’uns. They know all about this video game stuff. Me, I’m just an old woman tryin’ to make sense of it all. And let me tell you, it ain’t easy.
