Alright, listen up, y’all. Let’s talk about them monk clothes in this Baldur’s Gate 3, or whatever you young folks call it, BG3. Now, I ain’t no fancy adventurer or nothin’, but I know a thing or two about keepin’ yourself safe and sound, and lookin’ decent while doin’ it, even if you’re beatin’ folks up with your bare hands like them monks do.
First off, you gotta understand, these monks, they ain’t wearin’ no clanky armor. Nope, they like to keep it light and breezy. They need clothes that let ’em move around, you know? Like a squirrel in a cornfield, quick and nimble. So, we ain’t talkin’ ’bout no heavy metal suits. We’re talkin’ cloth, and maybe a little somethin’ extra to keep ’em from gettin’ sliced and diced.
Now, I heard tell of somethin’ called the “Helldusk Armor.” Sounds fancy, huh? But from what I gather, it ain’t really monk clothes. It’s more for them fellas who like to bash heads with swords and shields. Monks are different, they’re all about that inner peace and whippin’ ya with their fists. So, scratch that Helldusk thing off your list.
What them monks really like, see, is stuff that makes ’em even quicker and harder to hit. I heard about this “Vest of Soul Rejuvenation.” Sounds like somethin’ them city folk would wear, but it’s good for monks, too. It gives ya somethin’ called “AC.” I ain’t quite sure what that is, but it makes ya tougher to hit, like tryin’ to swat a fly in the wind. And it helps ya hit harder, too, which is always a good thing.
- Vest of Soul Rejuvenation: Gives ya good AC and makes your hits pack a punch. Sounds like a winner to me.
- Graceful Cloth: Now this one, it makes you good with your hands, not just for punchin’, but for pickin’ locks and such. Handy if you like snoopin’ around where you ain’t supposed to be.
- Gloves of Soul Catching: These ain’t exactly clothes, but they go on your hands, and that’s where monks do their best work. They make your punches hit even harder, like smackin’ someone with a sack of rocks. And they do some kinda fancy soul-catchin’ thing, too. Don’t ask me how it works, I just know it’s good.
Now, some folks say you should go for that “dex monk” thing. That means you’re good at dodgin’ and weavin’, like a rabbit in a briar patch. And if you do that, that graceful cloth is real good. Makes you even better at all that sneaky stuff. But even if you ain’t a dex monk, good clothes are still important. You don’t wanna be runnin’ around in rags, do ya? You’ll look like a scarecrow and get yourself killed quicker than a chicken in a fox den.
So, if I was a monk, I’d get myself that Vest of Soul Rejuvenation first thing. Then I’d try to find them Gloves of Soul Catching, ’cause who doesn’t want to punch harder? And if I was the sneaky type, I’d get that Graceful Cloth, too. That way, you’re tough to hit, you hit hard, and you can get into all sorts of trouble without gettin’ caught. Sounds like a good plan to me.
And don’t forget, lookin’ good is important, too. Even if you’re beatin’ people up, you wanna look presentable. You don’t wanna look like you just crawled out of a pigsty. So, find yourself some clothes that fit, that are comfortable, and that make you feel like you can take on the world. Or at least, take on a goblin or two.
Anyways, that’s all I know about monk clothes in this BG3 thing. It ain’t rocket science, just common sense. Stay safe, stay quick, and keep your fists flyin’. And for goodness sake, don’t go wearin’ no heavy armor. You’ll look like a fool and you won’t be able to punch nobody.
