Alright, listen up, y’all. We gonna talk about this… this “nightingale yew lumber,” whatever that fancy name means. Sounds like somethin’ them city folks made up, but I reckon it’s just wood, plain and simple. Wood for makin’ stuff, like we always done.
Now, I ain’t never heard of no “nightingale” nothin’, but if it’s wood you need, you gotta go where the trees grow. Makes sense, right? Don’t go lookin’ for apples in a pigpen, and don’t go lookin’ for wood in the middle of a desert.
So, this fella, he was askin’ about gettin’ this “yew” wood, says it’s for “craftin’.” Craftin’, huh? Sounds like what my grandpappy used to do, makin’ chairs and tables and such. Only he just called it “workin’ with wood.” No fancy names back then.
Anyways, them folks online, they was sayin’ somethin’ about “Bastilles of Intellect” and “Fae Towers.” Lord have mercy, what kinda names are those? Sounds like somethin’ out of a fairy tale book. But I reckon they’s just places, places where maybe this special wood grows.
- One fella said somethin’ ’bout “Forest Gloom.” Now, that I understand. Gloomy forests, that’s where the big trees be. Big trees, big wood. He said somethin’ about a tower in the Gloom havin’ the wood. Makes sense, I guess. Trees like growin’ tall, reachin’ for the sky.
- Another one talked about “bound bruisers.” Now, that sounds scary. Bruisers? Sounds like somethin’ you don’t wanna mess with. Maybe these bruisers are guardin’ the wood? Or maybe… maybe they are the wood? I don’t know, this stuff gets confusing.
Look, I ain’t no expert on this “nightingale” stuff. But I know wood. And I know you gotta work for it. You gotta go out there, into the woods, and find it. You gotta sweat and chop and haul. That’s the way it’s always been, and that’s the way it always will be.
So, if you want this “yew lumber,” you gotta get yourself a good axe. A sharp one. And you gotta find yourself some trees. Big ones. And then you gotta get to choppin’. Don’t be lazy, now. Put your back into it. And watch out for them “bound bruisers,” whatever they are. Sounds like they bite.
And another thing, don’t go choppin’ down every tree you see. Be respectful. Take what you need, and leave the rest. We gotta take care of the woods, see? ‘Cause if we don’t, there ain’t gonna be no more wood for nobody. Then what we gonna do? Sit around on our behinds, twiddlin’ our thumbs?
I tell you what, this young generation, they got it too easy. They got all these fancy tools and fancy names, but they don’t know nothin’ ’bout hard work. They sit around on their computers all day, clickin’ and tappin’ and whatnot. They ain’t never chopped down a tree in their life, I betcha.
But wood is wood, no matter what you call it. And gettin’ it takes work. So, go on out there and get to work. Find yourself some of this “nightingale yew lumber,” or whatever it is, and make somethin’ useful. Somethin’ that’ll last. Somethin’ your grandpappy would be proud of.
And if you see one of them “bound bruisers,” you just run. Run fast. And don’t look back.
Now, I gotta go make supper. All this talk about choppin’ wood has made me hungry. And I ain’t got no time for fancy talk and fairy tales. I got real work to do.
Remember, respect the woods, work hard, and watch out for them bruisers. That’s all there is to it. Now get outta here and let me get back to my business.
