Alright, let’s talk about this… uh… “bard armor” in that Baldur’s Gate 3 game. My grandson, he keeps yellin’ about it, so I figured I’d take a look. Seems important, this armor stuff.
Best Armor for Them Bard Folks
Now, from what I gather, the best armor, they call it “Helldusk Armor”. Sounds scary, right? But it’s real strong. My grandson says it’s the best, no matter who wears it. Even them fancy Paladins and Barbarians like it. And you know what? Them bards, they can use it too! Keeps ‘em safe, I guess.
- Helldusk Armor: Tough stuff, makes you hard to hit. Good for everyone, even them singing bards.
How you get it? Well, you gotta save some folks, Tieflings they are. Stuck in a place called Moonrise. Get ‘em out, then talk to a girl named Alfira. She’s back at Last Light. But you gotta do it quick, before you go to some dark place, Shadowfell they call it, and that illithid colony. Sounds nasty.
Other Fancy Bard Things
There’s also this ring, “Band of the Mystic Scoundrel”. Sounds like trouble, huh? But it helps the bards do their magic better. They hit someone, then BAM! They can cast a spell real quick. Handy, I reckon.
- Band of the Mystic Scoundrel: Hit ‘em, then trick ‘em with magic. Sneaky ring, that one.
Now, my grandson, he’s always complainin’ that bard armor don’t look right. Says it ain’t fancy enough, not like them old-timey bards. So, he uses this dye stuff, makes it look prettier. Kids these days, always fussin’ about looks.
Why Bards are Important Anyway
You know, I asked my grandson, why all the fuss about bards? He says they’re good at talkin’ and keepin’ folks in line. Crowd control, he calls it. Sounds like a good skill to have, especially if you got a bunch of rowdy adventurers.
Act 2 Armor, Whatever That Means
Then there’s this Act 2 armor. I don’t know what “Act 2” means, sounds like one of them plays on TV. But this armor, it helps with undead folks. Makes ‘em tougher, I think. Keeps ‘em from gettin’ squished, or somethin’. Undead Ward, they call it. Sounds useful, if you’re fightin’ them zombie things.
More on that Helldusk Armor
That Helldusk Armor, it keeps comin’ up. Seems real important. My grandson says it gives you good “Armor Class”. I don’t know what that means, but it sounds good. Like havin’ a good grade in school, maybe? And you don’t even need to be trained to wear it! You just put it on and go! That’s what “proficient” means, I think. My grandson, he uses big words all the time.
- Helldusk again: Good armor, easy to wear, keeps you safe. That’s the long and short of it.
So, there you have it. That’s what I learned about bard armor in Baldur’s Gate 3. It’s a lot to take in, all this magic and fighting. But it seems like them bards need good armor just like everyone else, maybe even more so since they ain’t usually the biggest and strongest. And that Helldusk stuff, well, that seems like the best there is. Just remember to save them Tieflings and get that fancy ring, and you’ll be set. Or at least, that’s what my grandson tells me, and he seems to know what he’s talking about, most of the time.
And if you don’t like how it looks? Well, find some dye and make it pretty. Seems like that’s what all the cool kids are doin’ these days.
