Alright, listen up, y’all! We gonna talk about them fancy-schmancy weapons in that Destiny 2 game. Them dungeon exotics, they call ’em. I ain’t no spring chicken, but I know a good weapon when I see one, and these here things, well, they’re somethin’ else.
First off, there’s this thing called Gjallarhorn. Sounds like somethin’ my grandpa used to yell when he was fixin’ the tractor, but it ain’t. You gotta do a special quest, somethin’ called an “Exotic Questline,” in a place called Grasp of Avarice to get it. Don’t ask me what that means, sounds like somethin’ outta a book. But the weapon, oh boy, it’s a real firecracker! Shoots rockets, makes a big ol’ bang. Good for clearin’ out them pesky aliens, I reckon.
Then, there’s this other dungeon, Warlord’s Ruin. Folks say it’s the best one in the whole game. I ain’t played it myself, mind you, my eyesight ain’t what it used to be, but the young’uns, they love it. And it’s got its own special weapon too, though they don’t say what it is right out. Guess you gotta go in there and find out yourself. Kids these days, always wantin’ secrets.
Another one they talk about is Edge of Action. Sounds like a knife you’d use to cut open a sack of potatoes, but it’s somethin’ fancier. They say it’s an “echo of an ancient weapon.” Don’t know what that means, probably somethin’ from long ago. But if it’s ancient, it must be powerful, right? Like them old stories my grandma used to tell about warriors and their magic swords. This Edge of Action, it’s probably somethin’ similar.
Now, there’s a whole bunch of these dungeons, eight of ’em, they say. Started way back with somethin’ called The Shattered Throne. That sounds like somethin’ you’d find in a king’s castle, not a video game. But that’s what they call it. And most of these dungeons, they got their own special weapon. You gotta do these quests, sometimes long ones, to get ’em. Ain’t like buyin’ a new shovel at the hardware store, that’s for sure.
And get this, you can’t just keep tryin’ and tryin’ to get the weapon. You only get a few chances each week, they say three times per character. So you better make ’em count! It’s like tryin’ to catch a fish – sometimes they bite, sometimes they don’t. You just gotta keep at it. Don’t matter if it’s the “rotator” or not, whatever that is. Sounds like somethin’ on a tractor, to be honest.

These quests, they call ’em “Exotic quests.” They’re long and complicated, like tryin’ to bake a cake without a recipe. But if you finish ’em, you get some real powerful gear. Stuff that’ll make you the hero of the town, or the galaxy, or whatever it is them kids are savin’ these days.
They say they don’t know all the quests yet. Always somethin’ new poppin’ up. Keeps them young’uns busy, I guess. Me, I’m happy with my garden and my chickens. But if I was a young whippersnapper again, I might just try to get me one of them fancy dungeon exotics. They sound like they could do a whole heap of good against them aliens.
So that’s the story on them dungeon exotics. Powerful weapons, hidden away in tough dungeons, need special quests to get. You gotta be patient, you gotta be persistent, and you gotta have a whole lotta time on your hands. But if you get one, well, you’ll be the big dog in the yard. Or the big Guardian in the galaxy, I guess.
Remember, young’uns, be patient and keep trying, and you’ll get those weapons eventually. Just like plantin’ seeds, gotta wait for ‘em to grow into somethin’ good. Now go on and get them aliens!
