Alright, alright, let’s talk about this… uh… bg3 harper branthos convoy ambush thingy. Don’t rightly know what all them fancy words mean, but I’ll tell ya what I know, the way I know how.

So, there’s this convoy, right? A bunch of folks travelin’ together, like a wagon train, but probably not as nice. And there’s this bug fella, a drider, some say. Scary lookin’ thing, half man, half spider, leads the bunch. Now, this drider, folks call him Kar’niss. He’s with a group called the Absolute, which sounds like trouble to me, a whole heap of trouble.

Then there’s these Harpers. Good folks, mostly, at least that’s what they say. They don’t like this Absolute bunch one bit. So, they decide to set up a trap, an ambush, to get the convoy. It’s like hidin’ behind a bush and jumpin’ out when someone passes by, only with more swords and spells, I reckon.

  • Kar’niss and his Crew: This drider guy, Kar’niss, is a big deal. He’s leadin’ the convoy through some shadowy lands. Sounds like a bad place to be, all dark and spooky. If you meet him on the mountain pass, you’re in for it, I tell ya.
  • Harpers Ready to Pounce: The Harpers, they’re waitin’. They’re set on stoppin’ Kar’niss and his bunch. They’re like them fellas who hide in the woods waitin’ for deer, only they’re waitin’ for people, and they ain’t lookin’ to just scare ‘em.
  • Meeting the Convoy: Now, some folks say they met the convoy way before the ambush, hours even. They just hid and watched ‘em pass by. Smart, I say. No need to go stickin’ your nose in where it don’t belong.

Now, how you get mixed up in this mess depends on where you go. If you go through the Underdark, which sounds like a dark and scary hole in the ground to me, you might end up helpin’ the Harpers with their ambush. But if you go over the mountain, well, you might find yourself with the convoy, pretendin’ to be one of ‘em.

Some folks even say there’s a goblin you can talk to near the entrance to these Shadowlands. He’ll get you started, apparently. But me, I wouldn’t trust no goblin. Shifty little fellas, always up to no good.

There’s this lyre thing too, a spider lyre. If you give it to some half-orc at the cultist camp, you gotta choose sides, Harpers or cultists. Sounds like a headache to me. Best to just stay out of it if you can, that’s what I say.

So, you got this choice. You can help the Harpers ambush the convoy and fight against the drider. Or you can stick with the convoy, pretend you’re one of them, and maybe even defend them. It all depends on what you’re tryin’ to do, I guess. Me? I’d just stay home and tend my garden, if I had one. This whole thing sounds like a heap of trouble.

And get this, if you wanna do this whole ambush thing right, you gotta talk to some fella named Branthos, he’s the one giving out the mission. And then there’s Isobel, over at the Last Light Inn, you gotta talk to her first apparently. Seems like a lot of hoops to jump through, if you ask me.

There’s also talk about gettin’ a lantern from the convoy. Seems important. Without it, you’re stuck in the dark, and that’s never a good thing. But gettin’ it ain’t easy, especially if you’re sneakin’ around tryin’ not to be seen. Some folks say they were too good at sneakin’ and missed their chance.

And if you’re wonderin’ how long this whole shebang takes, some folks who play games, they say it’s about 69 hours. That’s a long time to be dealin’ with driders and ambushes and such. I’d rather spend that time knittin’ a blanket, or somethin’ useful.

So, that’s the story, as best as I can tell it. A convoy, a drider, some Harpers, and a whole lot of trouble. You gotta choose your side, or just stay out of the way. Me, I’d stay out of the way. Too much fightin’ for my taste. Bg3 harper branthos convoy ambush. Sounds like a mouthful of trouble to me.
