Well, hey there, y’all! Let’s gab a bit about this here “World of Warships Roadmap,” or whatever them city folks call it. I reckon it’s like a plan, ya know? Like when you plan to plant yer taters after the frost, somethin’ like that.
So, what’s this “World of Warships” thing anyway?
From what I gather, it’s a game. A game about big ol’ boats fightin’ each other. Not like them little fishin’ boats down by the crick, mind you. These are HUGE, like, bigger than the whole town, I reckon. They got cannons and all sorts of fancy gizmos. My grandson, he plays it all the time, makin’ all sorts of boom-boom noises. Says it’s free-to-play, whatever that means. Sounds like a good deal to me, not havin’ to shell out yer hard-earned cash.
What’s comin’ down the pike, ya ask?
Well, they’re always addin’ new stuff, seems like. New boats, mostly. They got these things called “tiers,” like levels, I guess. The higher the tier, the bigger and badder the boat, from what I can tell. They was talkin’ ’bout some new European battleship, Tier IX they called it, named somethin’ like “Nee-ord.” Sounded fancy. Probably got a real big gun on it, that one.
- New Boats: They’re addin’ all sorts of new boats, big ones, small ones, some with guns that go boom real loud.
- Game Activities: Seems like they got more than just fightin’. They got events and stuff, like a town fair, but with warships. My grandson was tellin’ me about some dockyard thing, buildin’ a boat, piece by piece. Sounds like a lot of work to me, but he seems to like it.
- Improvements and Changes: They’re always tinkerin’ with things, makin’ ’em better, I guess. Like when you fix the fence after a storm, only with computer stuff. They was talkin’ about changin’ some boats, “Vrijheid” and “Jaarsveld” or somethin’ like that. Sounds like Dutch names to me. My neighbor’s boy, he went off to fight in one of them wars, said he saw some ships like that, said they where real big and scary.
When’s all this happenin’?
Well, they already done did some testin’ earlier this year, seems like. And they got plans for next year too, 2025 they said. That’s a long ways off, ain’t it? Time sure does fly. They also done talked about plans for the end of 2022, makes you wonder what else they are plannin’. I remember back in ’15, they was just startin’ this whole thing, openin’ it up for everyone to play. My grandson, he was just a little tyke then, now he’s all grown up and still playin’ them boat games.
What’s it all mean?
Well, I reckon it means they ain’t stoppin’ anytime soon. They’re gonna keep addin’ new stuff, keep makin’ it better, keep them young’uns entertained. And that ain’t a bad thing, I suppose. Better than gettin’ into trouble, like some of them kids ’round here. At least they’re just shootin’ at each other with pretend boats, not real guns. Though those guns do sound real loud sometimes when my grandson is playing.
So, if you’re lookin’ for somethin’ to do, maybe give this “World of Warships” a try.
It might just be yer cup of tea, or whatever them city folks drink. It’s free, they say, so it can’t hurt none to take a peek. Just don’t blame me if you get hooked. I seen it happen, folks spendin’ hours starin’ at that screen, yellin’ at each other ’bout broadsides and torpedoes and such. Makes me chuckle, sometimes. But hey, as long as they’re havin’ fun, that’s all that matters, right? And it sounds like these fellas plannin’ the game are doin’ their best to keep things interesting with all their new boats and events and improvements. They sure do got a lot planned, that’s for sure. Just like plantin’ season, always somethin’ new comin’. So that’s the lowdown on this here “World of Warships Roadmap,” as best as I can tell ya. Now, if you’ll excuse me, I gotta go check on them chickens.
Just remember, it’s all about big boats, big guns, and a whole lotta boom-boom. And they’re always addin’ more, so it sounds like there’s always somethin’ new to shoot at.
